[Cmul_merc] Reminder: CMul LAB lecture on JPEG on March 28 and 29

    Dear CMul Students

    Next week, the second CMul Lab session will happen. As you know, 
there will be 2 lab slots, one on Monday, 3pm and another on Tuesday, 
3pm, always in room 1.28. Check the slot that applies to you at

    I am attaching here the lab guide for the next week; the topic is 
JPEG. The Lab guide is also available at the CMUL Web page, 
http://www.img.lx.it.pt/~fp/comunicacao_multimedia/ano%20lectivo_2015_2016/8_Material_Estudo_2015-2016.html

  Please bring a printed copy of the lab guide to the lab session as you 
will have to fill the form inside and give it to me at the end of the 
session.

    It is very important that you prepare the lab session in advance by 
studying the materials related to the JPEG standard, notably the slides 
from the theoretical lectures and the lab guide. It is essential that 
you go to the lab with a minimum knowledge of the topic and the type of 
questions that you will have to answer in the lab. Now you have the 
application to practice in advance (see my previous email with subject 
(CMul: Application and Contents for the Lab).

  Please arrive in time for the lab session as otherwise you will have 
no time to finish it in the allocated 90 minutes.
