[Coregroup-3d-coding] Core Group Activities

Dear Colleagues,



I would like to welcome you again to this mailing list.



In the last 3D-CounTourNet meeting, in Malta, we created the Core Group on
“Optimization and adaptation of 3D image and video coding” (see the
proposal attached). Basically, two main objectives were defined:

- To promote joint contributions on 3D visual coding and robust delivery of
3D media (including emerging types of 3D content)

- To define at least one STSM collaboration aiming at producing joint papers





As it has been a while since our last talk, it would be interesting if each
member could share any recent information that may be related to the
objectives of this core group. In this sense, I kindly ask you:



1) Is there any STSM that has happened or has been scheduled since our last
meeting?



2) Is there any ongoing work between the members that may result in some
outcomes for this core group?



Furthermore, one of the planned outcomes is to write a joint paper on
“Trends and challenges on 3D visual coding”. As our first action, I would
very much appreciate if you could send me, by the middle of next week,
topics that you are able to contribute to, so that we can define a table of
content for this paper.

topics.
