[Coregroup-3d-coding] Minutes TF meeting – Rome, February 5th

Dear all,



Thank you for attending the last Task Force (TF) meeting in Rome. Please
see attached a PDF file with the meeting agenda and the TF results.



Please see below a brief overview of the discussed points:


1st) *3D-ContourNet Book (Springer)* – Please see, in the attached PDF
file, the status of our three book chapters.

After discussion with all Task Forces, the following deadline has been set
for all chapters of the book:

First Draft (All contributions): *March 21th, 2016*

The idea is to have the final draft (or a very advanced draft) by the end
of this COST Action (end of April).


2nd) *STMS* – It is still possible to schedule STSM this year as long as it
finishes by mid-April. From our TF, a new STSM is being planned:

*Ricardo Monteiro* (ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, Portugal)
*Host Institution:* Poznan University of Technology, Poland


3rd) *Joint Publications* – Gathering information of joint publications for
the Final Report. Please see in the attached file a list of the latest
joint publications (from 2015).

If you have joint publications (from all Grant Periods) related to the
Working Group (WG) 2, I kindly ask you to send them to Prof. Carl Debono.



4th) *ICME 2016 Grand Challenge* – Discussion about possible joint
participation in the upcoming challenge on Light Image Compression. From
our TF, two groups are considering participating:

*ISCTE – Instituto* *Universitário de Lisboa (Lisbon, Portugal)* and *Instituto
de Telecomunicações (Leiria, Portugal) *

*University of Cagliari* *(Italy)* and *Instituto de Telecomunicações
(Leiria, Portugal)*

5th) *WG Final Meeting and Workshop* – the next WG Meeting and the Final
Workshop is going to be held in Sundsvall (Sweden), in March 21st-23rd.
