Dear IT Colleagues, Staff and Students,

As the year draws to a close, we celebrate the dedication and innovation, that define our work. Our shared commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and technology inspires us all, paving the way for a brighter future.
In the year of 2024 we made significant investment in our laboratories, conducted some major projects, and saw substantial changes in the Board of Directors and the Lisbon and Coimbra Sites’ Management Committees. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Profs. Carlos Salema, Carlos Fernandes, and Vítor Silva for their invaluable contributions to IT over the years, and Profs. Paulo André, Helena Ramos and Henrique Gomes who joined the Board. Additionally, I also recognize Prof. Susana Sargento, who assumed the role of President of the Scientific Council, to strengthen this key governance body and make it the central forum of discussion on IT scientific strategy.
All these colleagues deserve to be commended for generously offering their time, energy, and enthusiasm to lead and unite the IT community. I am sure that 2025 will reveal the positive results of these changes!
May this Christmas Season bring you moments of joy, reflection, and well-deserved rest. Here’s to another year of inspiration, discovery, collaboration, and success!
